Pell Software developed a fully custom, cloud-based, web application developed for a materials supply company specializing in sand and gravel distribution. This cloud-based system streamlines daily operations for dozens of users across the organization. At its core, the application features a comprehensive dashboard that provides real-time visibility into quotes in progress, enabling efficient tracking and management of potential orders.
The system’s quote management interface allows users to input detailed order information, including product specifications, quantities, designated truck types for material transport, and pricing details. This intuitive interface combines a traditional Create/Edit screen with an innovative map view, leveraging Google Maps integration to visualize mine locations. Users can interact directly with the map, clicking on specific sites to access product inventories for each location.

From its founding in the early 1980s, Select Sand & Gravel has grown to serve major metropolitan areas including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Midland/Odessa, and Oklahoma City. In June 2022, the company transitioned to an employee-owned structure, joining the Teamshares network and reinforcing its commitment to customer satisfaction and reliable delivery.

We started work on this application in March 2023, with the initial phase being completed in June 2023, and have been constantly improving and maintaining it ever since including the addition of new features and adjustments of existing features.
